Anita was a ward of the state because she is schizophrenic. Her family went to visit her in East Mississippi in Meridian. They were told she was no longer there. Family traced her down to a nursing home in Laurel, Ms. Due to HIPAA laws they would not tell the family anything except she was no longer there, she was not a ward of the state any longer and she was not deceased. Anita has no drivers license so family cannot track her SS check.
