Jacqueline went missing at age 58, and was last seen leaving Tupelo, Mississippi on Thursday, May 27th, 2021 en route to Grenada, Mississippi. Family members stated that she may be traveling with two men in an unknown vehicle to meet an acquaintance. On June 3rd, 2021, Gardner’s vehicle was found abandoned at a convenience store at the corner of Fairfield Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard in Grenada. Her vehicle had been there since May 29th. It is believed that Jacqueline met with foul play.
